About Alexander T. Baird

Who am I?
Who am I?

My name is Alexander T. Baird.  My friends call me Alex.  I am from central Texas, I am presently a gameplay programmer at House Pixel Games.  I received my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree at Southern Methodist University, and my Masters in Interactive Technology: Software Development from SMU Guildhall.

My motto is to work hard, work efficiently, and work early.  I particularly love the satisfaction that comes with solving a difficult problem.  What I enjoy most about being a software developer in the game industry is not just the complexity of the problems needed to be solved, but also that it is a fun and creative medium to work in.  I am particularly interested in Gameplay Programming, AI Programming, and Overall Controls and Feel.

I have been playing video games pretty much all of my life.  Some of my favorite games are Banjo Tooie, Super Smash Brothers, Dark Souls, and Team Fortress 2.  I like games that encourage exploration, skill, cooperation, and or generally goofing around.
